Adelaide Marriage Celebrant
A little bit about me
Hello — I’m Penelope (but everyone calls me Pen)
I’m an Adelaide marriage celebrant, and for over 14 years I’ve had the absolute privilege of officiating more than 700 wedding ceremonies. It’s a role I never take for granted — being invited into such a meaningful moment in someone’s life is something truly special.
At the heart of everything I do is connection. I’m a genuine people person, and I believe the best ceremonies are the ones that feel effortless, personal, and completely reflective of you as a couple.
I’ve lived in eight countries — including Finland, Kenya, France and Ireland — and travelled to more than 75 (even with a tendency toward travel sickness!). Those experiences have shaped how I see the world and how I connect with people from all walks of life. Nothing feels too “different” or outside the norm to me — I create a space where you can feel completely comfortable being yourselves.
As my children have grown into independence over the past couple of years, I’ve also embraced a role where I spend 15 hours a week working as a Leisure and Lifestyle Therapist in a local aged care home. It’s something I genuinely love — being around people, building meaningful connections, and bringing a sense of joy to everyday moments.
When I’m not working as an Adelaide Marriage Celebrant, you’ll find me with my family — my husband Andrew, our two children Freddie and Eloise, and our very lively Jack Russells, Murphy and Rosie, who keep things interesting.
And yes… I do have a slightly excessive wardrobe. But I like to think it’s all in the name of creating the perfect look for each and every ceremony — a completely selfless act, of course 😉
More than anything, I bring warmth, calm energy, and a genuine love for what I do. My role is to guide you through the process with ease, create a ceremony that feels just right, and make sure your wedding day begins exactly as it should — relaxed, meaningful, and completely you.
I would be honoured to be part of your day.
Pen x
